Proud. Yes we are of Lynn Coffey! Lynn writes a monthly column in our magazine and just a few days ago she was recognized for all of the work she has done for over 20 years. Lynn’s written more about the Blue Ridge and the people living there than just about anyone around. On December 28th Lynn was honored at The Waynesboro Country Club for her work to preserve the Blue Ridge Culture. She was also one of several people included in a film called The Truth On The Table that featured prominent local personalities in literature, agritourism, micro-industry, civic service and more according to information from the film’s maker, Alpha Vision Films.
Click on the magazine image above to to read Lynn’s latest column in our January 2012 issue. It’s titled A Winter’s Day At The Cabin.
And of course Lynn is now enjoying tremendous success with her 3rd book that was written and compiled from her 25 years of stories she wrote in her own Backroads monthly newspaper.
You can order any of her three books by clicking here.
Congrats Lynn!
Congratulatons Lynn! Thank you for coming to our mountains and recording a way of life that could have easily slipped away. What a treasure you are! Long life and warm wishes. Earl Hamner

Trying to find out exactly where my grandfather was born
His name is Herbert Lyle Coffey and I know he lives in Love, VA
His son, father was Kenneth Cyrus Coffey, please don’t hold that against me I’m nothing like him. Any information would be appreciated
I have bought all three of Lynn’s books and my family enjoys them so much
