Tuesday was another hot day with lots of humidity, so it felt pretty muggy out there. Many of the same areas hit by storms Monday got them again on Tuesday, but less damage happened this time around. Then another round of thunderstorms moved through the area early this morning bringing another round of vivid lightning and rain to the area. Many of us saw much needed showers and thunderstorms, others nothing. Here at NCL-Nelson County Life Magazine in Greenfield we picked up .22″ of rain since midnight today with a high Tuesday of 94.6 degrees. On the mountain at NCL-Wintergreen Nature Fountadion @ Devil’s Knob, the rain gauge picked up just under a fifth of an inch of rain since midnight at .16″ They touched 90 degrees yesterday around noon for a brief 5 minute period before dropping back to the 80’s.
