Talk about a crowd, it was even bigger and better this past weekend at the Nellysford Farmer’s Market than the opening day. If you’ve ever been you know how it improves each week as new produce starts coming in! Remember last week we told you about Sarah Leake from Basic Necessities? She revealed her new business secret to us. Scroll on down.
Below Bill & Wendy Hess of Taylor’s Creek Road take a break from a very busy Farmer’s Market in Nellysford. If you’ve never seen Bill’s excellent glass work go by and check it out. This guy has talent!
Ok, Sarah has revealed her talented baking side to us. Sarah Leake officially unveiled her custom cake baking business. She’s toying with the name for it. We suggested Nelson Cake Company, other’s say call it Sarah’s. Regardless, this gal knows how to make some very pretty cakes. Look for more info on her custom cakes of all kinds. Not to worry, she’ll still be behind the counter at Basic Necessities in Nellysford each week from Tuesday through Friday. Whew, I was worried for a bit!
Support all of the local farmers, merchants and growers by visiting the Farmer’s Market each Saturday through the entire summer. We’re talking very good produce and food, along with all kinds of neat crafts too!
