Area fire crews were busy for much of the afternoon Tuesday battling forrest fires in Eastern Nelson & Western Albemarle County. The first fire started around 2PM Tuesday afternoon north of Heards Mountain on Spring Valley Road. Another fire started an hour or so later along Taylor Creek Road in Nelson County. It’s not believed the two fires were caused by one another due to the distance separating them.
