Tommy and I had just wrapped up a business lunch meeting at Basic Necessities in Nellysford when we felt and heard a rumble which lasted for at least 20 seconds. A quick survey on our Facebook feeds showed simultaneous reports of tremors up along the east coast from as far north as New Hampshire. According to the USGS, the epicenter was in Mineral, Virginia which is in nearby Louisa County.
Incidentally, Adam and Peyton were at home with a great sitter who promptly scooped them up, taking them outside as this 100 year-old house shook. Peyton was oblivious to the geological event. Adam cried because he wasn’t wearing his orange Crocs. All are fine now, napping.
Tommy will be on the radio just after 4PM EDT to talk about the quake. You can listen to the stream live here at: www.kwam990.com
