The Nelson Heritage Center will present a program and exhibit on The Integration of the Nelson County Public Schools.Keynote speaker will be Mark Lane, a civil rights attorney and author. A permanent exhibit on the integration of the county’s schools will be unveiled. The Heritage Center is located in the former Nelson County Middle School, which was the first accredited black high school in the county, Nelson Memorial High School.Located on US 29 about three miles south of Colleen.
