Nelson County, Virginia
This past Saturday volunteers helped make Christmas a little brighter for people in Nelson that ordinarily wouldn’t have much at Christmas. The Nelson Pantry in Lovingston held their annual event packing bags for people stopping by.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus (Tom and Pam Harvey) and their Elf, Sarah Burrell, greeted each child at the Nelson Pantry in Lovingston where they received a book, or toy, and one of the 300 nutritious snack bags donated by the Children's Food Pantry at Rockfish Presbyterian Church in Nellysford.
Every Grandmother who had children coming to her home for Christmas also received a snack bag for each of her Grandchildren. Santa’s Temporary Workshop at the Pantry was bustling with activity all morning.
Marian Dixon, Vice-President of the Nelson Co. Pantry Board gives Santa a big kiss on the cheek for making so many children happy as they waited with their parents Saturday, Decomber 18.
