Hope’s Legacy Equine Rescue will be having a Fun Show on July 24th at the Rockfish Ruritan Park off Rt. 151 in Afton. Come on out and join us for a fun filled day, there are classes for everyone!
Hunter classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and the games will start no earlier than 12:30. We will have Green, Beginner and Junior Hunter classes, Short Stirrup, and “casual” Beginner, Green, Junior and Adult Hunter classes. for the “casual” classes jeans and t-shirts are acceptable attire (safe boots and helmets are required still).
In the afternoon we will have leadline, Egg and Spoon Race, Walking Race, Potato Race, Pole Bending, Sack Race, Walk, Trot, Canter and Lead Race, Phone Book Race, and the always exciting Ride-A-Buck. Entry fees are $5 per class if pre-entered before July 17th and $6 a class after the 17th.

There will be six ribbons in each class (except Ride-A-Buck) and Champion and Reserve Champion for each Hunter division and for the games portion. The Rockfish Ruritans will be offering their famous BBQ chicken but quantities will be limited so be sure to pre-order by calling (434) 361-9349 and leaving a message with your name, number of halves and a phone number.
