As predicted, thunderstorms developed Sunday afternoon across Central Virginia. Some of those storms briefly reached severe limits, and for a short period of time parts of Nelson County were under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. Only isolated thunderstorms popped just before dark Sunday and most of the activity diminished after sunset.

Look for scattered showers to continue throughout most of Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday, mostly sunny skies will return with warming temperatures right on into next weekend.
