Nelson and Albemarle Counties, in partnership with Keep Nelson Beautiful, are sponsoring the Celebration on the Rockfish April 24th in Howardsville, at the confluence of the Rockfish and James Rivers. The event will include a river clean up on the Rockfish River and a roadside clean up, as well as exhibitors from environmentally friendly regional community groups. Call 434-263-7015 to register for the event. Lunch will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own canoes. A limited number of canoes will be available for river clean up activities. A batteau will be present during the event.
