Nelson County, Virgina
This weekend started pretty good for the first half, but very hot on Saturday with temps in the low 90’s in the valley. The mountains saw mid 80’s in some locations, thanks to a Bermuda High setting up out in the Atlantic.
Late in the day isolated thunderstorms moved through the far northern and southern areas of Nelson County. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was briefly issued for the parts of Nelson just before dark as one strong thunderstorm moved through.
On Sunday a disturbance will be in the area providing the chance for more numerous scattered showers and thunderstorms, in particular late in the day and evening.
The unsettled weather pattern continues into next week with a 30-40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms each day right on into Thursday.
