Thanks to Paul Purpura upon Wintergreen for today’s weather photo. Paul grabbed this on the Skyline Drive overlooking Luray. That’s his sister taking in the view! The views over the past several days have been fantastic with unlimited visibility until late in the day Wednesday when some haze began forming again as the humidity increased.
Some pretty hefty thunderstorms formed late in the day in a few areas. Most folks stayed dry, but where storms broke out there were some pretty good downpours.
Today will be much like yesterday. Temps in the mid to upper 80’s with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.
No extremely hot temps are coming our way for next several days, and right now the weekend looks nice thus far.
That reminds me, yours truly, is emceeing Wintergreen Performing Arts’ 3rd Annual Blue Ridge Mountain Music Festthis coming Saturday August 16th from 11 AM until 7 PM. That’s at Wintergreen Resort in The Evans Center. You can go on over to the WPA website by clicking here to find out more about times and performances, but the lineup for this year’s festival is fantastic. See you there!
