And of course all the other Spinach, (we just planted ours from a.m. Fog) kale, brocoli, cabbage and veggie start, along with 6 kinds of lettuce and 26 types of heirloom tomatoes and sweet or HOT peppers are just some of what you’ll find at their new farm market right on Route 151. They even have pineapple and watermelons to boot!
Then there’s asparagus. Yvette loves it grilled with just a touch of olive oil, pepper and salt! Mmm, mm. Then there’s , meat, and fresh baked bread along with a so many other vegetables I can even list them all.

That’s the Wingina Post Office in today’s weather photo. That’s on Route 56 east of Shipman right at the Nelson / Buckingham County Line. It’s a neat place and if you haven’t ever been in there, go by and take a look. Mrs. Wood is the postmaster and what a really nice lady. I enjoyed chatting with her when were were in there just a few days ago.
Wednesday was an absolute delight compared to the several hot days before. We were a good 10 degrees cooler in every location for an afternoon high and the humidity was much less that it’s been over the past week. Most folks were able to give the air conditioner a rest and open the windows at night. Today will be a tad warmer, but nothing like those 100 degree readings of a few days ago.
By the time Friday arrives, chances for scattered afternoon & evening thunderstorms reenter the forecast, and temperatures will actually cool over the following several days, falling to the mid & upper 70’s for afternoon highs by the time we get to the first part of next week.
