Thursday was a beautiful day with milder temperatures and the humidity much lower than we have seen in days. Just perfect for Lilly in the picture above at the Rockfish Trail just south of Spruce Creek and Nellysford. Peter Agelasto was giving Lilly a treat as we took a look around. There’s a big Rockfish River Day this coming Saturday afternoon. You can read more about it by clicking here in our datebook.

The current surface map shows a very weak cold front working through our area this afternoon, some scattered thunderstorms will break out, but most areas will remain dry.

The National Forecast Map, shows the front working through the area today. We’ll start out mostly sunny with increasing clouds by afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms will break out in roughly 20% of the area. High pressure takes control by Saturday with showers possible again by Sunday afternoon.
