Traffic going into Stoney Creek in Nellysford from 151 was briefly stopped early Saturday afternoon after the Pegasus medical helicopter from UVA landed on the helipad there to pickup a patient at Wintergreen Fire and Rescue Station 2.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Local Fire & EMS have confirmed that the ski accident at Wintergreen Ski Resort in Nelson County involved a juvenile, who was taken from the scene at Eagles Swoop by a UVA medical helicopter.

Wintergreen Fire & Rescue Chief Curtis Sheets said Pegasus was called for a pediatric trauma case to be transported.
