It’s not officially spring on the calendar until March 20th. But, there are some subtle signs of spring creeping out now, in spite of some snow up at Wintergreen Sunday night.

There daffodils were in full bloom late last week in front of Wintergreen Hardware near Route 151 in Nellysford. Friday – February 10, 2023

Meteorological Spring begins on March 1st, several days before the actual calendar marks the start.

There will be plenty of ups and down over the next several weeks, even more snow is possible, but winter is on borrowed time pretty soon and it was nice to see some colorful signs that spring isn’t too far away.

The coming week will certainly feel like spring.
