SATURDAY…

* WHAT…Freezing rain and freezing drizzle expected. Ice
accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch expected. Highest
amounts will be at the higher elevations.

* WHERE…Portions of northern and western Maryland, central,
northwestern and western Virginia and eastern West Virginia.
Glaze ice will primarily impact higher elevations during the
daylight hours today, but may spread to lower elevations
tonight.

* WHEN…Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on

accumulation of up to one quarter of an inch. Highs in the lower
30s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation near
100 percent.
.TONIGHT…Freezing rain and rain in the evening, then a slight
chance of rain and freezing rain after midnight. Ice accumulation
of up to a tenth of an inch. Lows in the lower 30s. Northeast
winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of
precipitation near 100 percent.

another round of precipitation this afternoon and evening. With
temperatures expected to hover around freezing, additional light
icing may occur especially on elevated surfaces through late this
evening.
