A large house fire in the Afton / Greenfield area of Nelson County along 151 is out. The home is a total loss according to Wintergreen Fire & Rescue Chief Curtis Sheets. “There were no injuries,” Chief Sheets said and luckily everyone got out alive and unharmed.

BRL has learned though some family pets were lost, several of the family’s dogs were saved.
