The Lynchburg District covers the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Nelson, Pittsylvania and Prince Edward.
Lynchburg District crews have pre-treated major routes in the district and will report to work this evening to address any issues that may arise as snow begins during the overnight hours.

· Knowing road conditions in advance of any travel. Check local media or visit www.511virginia.org and call 511.
· Driving for the conditions: Slow down, ensure that windows and lights are clear of any snow/ice, avoid any sudden stops or turns and allow extra time for travel.
· Be very careful on bridges, overpasses, and other areas prone to icy conditions.
