No sooner than we’d announced the annual pond skimming set for the weekend of March 15th, the resort announced the festivities will be postponed until the weekend of March 22nd due to the threat of some possible winter weather Sunday into Monday:
The schedule above from Wintergreen shows plenty still going on for the upcoming weekend.

Though skiing will continue for several more days / weeks at Wintergreen Resort, the unofficial end of the formal ski season is always celebrated by the annual Splash & Dash, also called pond skimming. We’ve been covering the fun way to say so long to winter and hello spring for many years. (Click Here)
The resort’s already announced their spring hours which cuts back the numbers of slopes and days they are open.
Of course our BRL Mountain Photographer Paul Purpura will be there for all of the fun and splashing too!
