Very intense storms moving across East and Central Nelson County Tuesday afternoon dropped very heavy flooding rains along with hail in many locations.

Nelson school students were held at NMS & NCHS until the storms passed before being let on buses to head home.

Many severe thunderstorm warnings along with flood watches and warnings remained in effect late Tuesday.
