Nelson County, VA

I continue monitoring the winter storm that will affect the Central Virginia Blue Ridge areas starting late Tuesday through Wednesday evening. Many Winter Storm Warnings have already been issued and will take effect Tuesday evening through Wednesday night.

Above is an interactive map from NWS that gives a general ised of estimated snowfall in certain areas. Obviously from the map above, the western facing slopes of the Blue Ridge Parkway and points west have the best likelihood of seeing snowfall depths of 10+ inches in this storm.

These estimated will probably change and be updated as we get closer to, and in, the actual storm.
