[ 0 ] January 24, 2013 |

Blue Ridge Life™2013 : Don Rich of Crozet says he measured about 2″ inches of snow on his deck Thursday morning – January 24, 2013

Albemarle County, VA

Most people across The Central VA Blue Ridge woke up to light snow that covered many of the roads across the area. Generally speaking the snowfall was light, but just enough to cancel school for a large majority of students across Central Virgina.

Photo By Don Rich – Crozet, VA: By far the larger amounts of snow fell to the east of the Blue Ridge Parkway this time, somewhat unusual. In Crozet about 2″ fell, to the NE in Greene County, between 3-4″ was reported by people living there.

Another round of snow or winter precipitation is in the forecast for Friday.
