The former manager of The Rockfish Valley Community Center in Afton remains in jail this evening after a judge continues to deny bond after charges in his case were sent to a Nelson County Grand Jury that convenes on September 25th.

We first reported this story back in June of 2012.

“We had the preliminary hearing on the Messer case this Wednesday morning in the General District Court. All charges were certified to the next term of the Nelson County Grand Jury which is September 25th. His request for bail was once again denied, so he remains in custody pending his trial in the Circuit Court,” said Nelson County Commonwealth Attorney Anthony Martin.

Messer is being held without bond on 3 felony forgery charges; 3 felony uttering charges; and 1 charge of embezzlement relating to the total of the 3 checks according to information from the Nelson CA office on June 15th 2012.
