Via NCSD: Some of the $16,000 in cash and nearly 200,000 worth of meth seized by the Nelson County Sheriff's Department earlier this week

In the early morning hours of April 11, 2012, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on 285 Barn Hill Lane. The following items were seized:

Approximately ½ pound of meth with a street value of $200,000
$16,000 in cash
18 Firearms
Polaris 400 – 4X4
1997 Ford F350 w/misc tools/ladders
1991 Chevrolet pickup

The following were arrested/charged:
Thomas Massie Huffman, W/M, 34 years old, 285 Barn Hill Lane, Lovingston, VA
Charges:
-Distribution Schedule I/II   x 2
                 
-Possession Firearm while Possession Schedule I/II (Meth)         
                  
-Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I/II

Michelle Simpson Spencer, W/F, 41 years old, 285 Barn Hill Lane, Lovingston, VA
Charges:
-Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I/II (Meth)
      
-Possession Firearm while in Possession Schedule I/II

Both subjects are being held at the Albemarle/Charlottesville Joint Security Complex without bond.

This arrest is the result of an investigation that has been ongoing for several months by Lt. Becky Adcock. The following officers were involved in the search and arrest: Inv. Billy Mays, Sgt. Kenny Brooks, Sgt. Steve Davis, Cpl. Chris Justice, Deputy Robbie Brooks, and Deputy Corey Thacker.
