This past Saturday The Historical Society of Nelson County presented Its 21st Nelson County Historic Home Tour along with the Virginia Historic Highway Marker Unveiling at the “Boyhood Home of the Rev. Dr. W.A.R. Goodwin, Father of Colonial Williamsburg”

People waiting to enter and take a seat for introductions at Christ Episcopal Church this past Saturday (5.14.11) as part of the Nelson County Historic Home Tour held in Norwood and Wingina of East Nelson County.

The historic Wingina Post Office, originally built as a general store in 1920, was one of five stops on the Historic Home Tour this past weekend. (5.14.11)
In the lower floor of Bon Aire - a replica of a 18th century open hearth with re-enactment cooking and meal prep. Another home on the tour.
Bo Aire, near Warminister, is a Federal-style home on a high hill with panoramic view of the James River and its bottomlands. Today is is owned by Adrienne Young and Luke Ramsey.
