Nelson Co Sheriff, David Brooks tells NCL that Robin Pfeifer is being held without bond after an arraignment Thursday afternoon. “Right now the next court date is April 6th. Ms. Pfeifer was appointed an attorney by the court. The lawyer can petition the court regarding bail before her next appearance,” Sheriff Brooks said. The husband, Bruce Pfeifer was stall at large as of this Thursday afternoon update.

As NCL first told you here on Monday (March 14th) Nelson County authorities have been in the process of investigating a case of severe animal cruelty on Route 151 just north of Nellysford, VA. Click on the highlighted link above in this paragraph for earlier details.

This evening Nelson County Sheriff David Brooks, and Nelson County Animal Control Supervisor, Ray Uttaro confirm to NCL that Robin Pfeifer & husband Bruce charged with 10 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty and 9 counts of failure to bury dead animals. Nelson Animal Control Supervisor, Ray Uttaro, tells NCL that Robin Pfeifer was arrested by lawmen after she was interviewed in Lovingston at the sheriff’s office on Wednesday. “Her husband has not been located thus far,” Supervisor Uttaro said Wednesday evening. “There is no bond in this case until Ms. Pfeifer appears in a Nelson County Court before a judge Thursday for arraignment,” Sheriff Brooks tells NCL around 7:15 Wednesday evening. The sheriff said she will remain in custody at least until that court appearance.

  1. I am so sad for my beloved County. This is a travesty. I not only grieve for the animals, I grieve for those who could have committed this act. These people are in need of dire help. Makes me love my Mr. Breeze even more. Why?

  2. This is a disgrace. Lock them up with their food and water outside the cell so they too can look at it but not reach it. Inhumane, you say?………….my point exactly!!
