Spring Cleaning @ Basic Necessities In Nellysford

Nelson County, Virginia

Warmer days are on the way, and in the meantime we’ll take a mildly warmer day here and there. It was just enough warmth on Wednesday for the crew over at Basic Necessities in Nellysford to do a little spring cleaning and some light remodeling outside. They added an all new outdoor bistro table to the front of the already charming spot right in Nellysford. Of course it was my civic duty to try out the new table and see if the wine paired perfectly with the 60° temps and sunshine.

Basic’s Wine Expert, Kay Pfaltz, and NCL Wine Columnist (page 7) suggested we try a dry Rose’ to make sure the bistro table worked! Click on the image above to read her column.

Basic Necessities' Manager, Sarah Shelton, cleans out lots of old winter dirt and debris in front of Basic Necessities this past Wednesday afternoon, 2.16.11.

A little birdie tells us this is just the beginning of several subtle changes you will see at Basics over the coming weeks. Don’t worry, none of the charm changes at all!

This looks mighty inviting on an 85° afternoon in the middle of June!
