Nelson County, Virginia
Popular father daughter duo, Pet & Lindsey Osborne will be playing for a special Thursday night Local Harvest Dinner at Basic Necessities this coming Thursday – November 11, 2010. Seating begins at 5:45PM and again at 7:30PM. We’ve told you about Lindsey in this past. “I grew-up in Nelson and my whole family still lives or works in the county. Often on Friday nights you can find my sister (Hayley) waiting tables, my dad and I playing music, and my mom and brother having a glass of wine.” Definitely a family that “plays” together,” Lindsey says.
The special event will be celebrating Nelson County farms and vineyards.
Blue Heron Farm Wild Greens Pie in a Golden Phyllo Crust — $13
(paired with Flying Fox Viognier — $7 a glass)
Davis Creek Chicken Pot Pie — $15.00
(paired with Wintergreen Brent’s Mt. Merlot — $7 a glass)
Nelson County Beef Stew — $15.00
(paired with Delfosse Cabernet Sauvignon — $7 a glass)
Both Pete and Lindsey (as well as the rest of their family) are animal lovers and spend a lot of their time with horses.
When Pete isn’t working as a TV account executive, he loves riding, especially foxhunting. Lindsey operates the Rodes Farm Stables and has been a vet assistant for large and small animals. Dogs, horses, ponies and cats abound in the Osborne family.
Hope to see you there!
