Join us on November 3rd, as Women’s Health Virginia and Tandem Friends School host this educational program featuring media literacy expert and researcher Dr. Yvonnes Chen (Virginia Tech). Through the lens of media literacy, Dr. Chen will discuss strategies for parents to increase their children’s understanding of media images and messages, how to set reasonable expectations for media use, and guide kids towards safe, critical, and enriching media experiences.
The event is free and open to the community; parents, teachers, and other adults who work with adolescents are encouraged to attend.
