The short story, we’re back! As we mentioned just before heading out (in this post) we took some R & R here at NCL. It was the first time Yvette and I had taken any time away in six years and the first time ever since starting the magazine back in 2005. Has it been that long already? It goes by so quickly! Though we love the mountains of Nelson County, we opted for a little water this time. We’ll only say it’s on the Chesapeake somewhere! If you’ve never been there, go. Virginia has such a diverse geography and we’re trying to see it all, in time!

Thanks to each of you for understanding while we were away and sort of leaving the website on auto pilot. We’re slowly easing back into the saddle here and getting the August issue ready as well.

Here’s some random snapshots while there.

Not everyday was about the water, this is a place you must stop if you are in the little town of Irvington, Virginia. The Local. Can't say enough good about it. Though Adam was more about his truck!

  1. Welcome back! You were missed, but glad you were able to have a vacation Next year, Larry and I will have our first vacation in 6 years as well! It will be our first getaway without kids since we were married 25 years ago! Your pictures are fabulous and peaceful. Adam is such a cutie!
