Southwater, a collective of bluegrass and acoustic musicians, encompasses a love of bluegrass, old time, country, jazz, blues and other musical traditions. As a result, Southwater’s music stands at the crossroads of the old and the new, the traditional and the progressive. Consistent within the performances is harmony singing, improvising and a “ragged but right” approach that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
