It’s a tough job, but somebody has to take all of these pictures. Really! But it was no tough job Wednesday as we headed up to Blue Mountain Brewery (BMB) for a bite of lunch, Adam in tow, so we did the job right! After his PB & J, my yummy pulled pork BBQ, and Yvette’s spicy tomato soup, I headed back to see what was happening in the brewery. Matt and Taylor had been busy most of the day bottling on one of the premier beers of BMB, their Dark Hollow Artisanal Ale. It’s a bourbon barrel aged stout, and yep, it’s as good as it sounds, even better!

According to BMB:

“Dark Hollow blends the miracle of two crafts–brewing and distillation–to create a work greater than the sum of its parts. An Imperial Stout has been aged in charred American oak bourbon barrels still dripping with uncut whiskey. For 100 days the young beer patiently breathes in and out of the wood, gaining complexity, character, and serious attitude.”

Like I said, somebody has to take these pictures! And though I didn’t leave with a Dark Hollow Wednesday, I did buy 3 six packs of my other favorites, Rockfish Wheat and Blue Mountain Lager.

Matt tells me they will be bottling more of that next week! Yum!
