Nelson County, Virginia
If you’ve ever stepped foot into either of the local breweries or in Nelson’s wineries, you’ve probably stomped your foot to the sounds of Jacob Allen and John Howard. The duo is HoboJac For a few years the two have been playing locally, but next month, they are stepping out of their comfort zone and heading out on the road. Just within the past month the pair released several new songs they’ll be playing for audiences on the road. We’ll be featuring their new music releases all week long in Tommy’s Weather. Simply hit the play button just below the banner picture on the homepage or on the player over on Tommy’s Weather page here.
The two played just this past weekend at The Crozet Music Festival.
According to their bio over at www.reverbnation.com/hobojac:
“HoboJac was born from two guys’ love of music and being in the right place at the right time. Beginning at open mic night John Howard aka…Hojo and Jacob Allen aka…Bojac found that similar music interests and the love to play live could only blossom with time. Months went by and both were growing musically so the next direction was to come together as HoboJac. Being local to the Blue Ridge Mountains has helped develop a Folk Rock style that fits well with the pickin’ and footstompin’ that has permeated the Shenandoah Valley for generations. With a handful of original material and an eclectic mix of covers HoboJac is still an infant but is growing daily.”
We’ll be telling you lots more about Jacob and John’s upcoming adventures in days and weeks ahead!
