Nelson County, Virginia

After a cloudy start Monday, the day ended beautifully with the remainder of the week, picture perfect, for the first week of September. After many 90+ degree readings last week, temps for the coming week are in the 70’s and low 80’s for afternoon highs. Monday afternoon, Al Stacey and I flew over the beautiful mountains here in Nelson to get some updated photos of the area. What a beautiful late summer afternoon!

Al is the owner of Gaia Homes, Inc in Nellysford, but few know Al is an experienced/veteran helicopter pilot with over 10,000 thousand hours in the air. He’s flown in some of the toughest conditions known to pilots across the globe. He’s fought fires from the air in Spain, and flown to oil platforms way out in the Atlantic, in gales! Al’s forgotten more about flying choppers than most ever learned!

Look for the mild and beautiful weather to continue right on into Labor Day weekend.

Thanks for a beautiful afternoon flight Al!
