A complete list of the 2009 results are available at www.fliwc.com. The FLIWC is one of the most unique wine competitions in the world. It donates 100% of the proceeds to one charity, Camp Good Days and Special times (info below.) “We are all very excited to be recognized on the world stage for not just our winery, but also for Nelson County and the entire Virginia Wine Industry,” Jeff tells us. He and his wife Tamara own Wintergreen Winery in the Beech Grove Community on Route 664.

Congrats on the win Jeff & Tam. I have had that double gold winner, and it is yummy!

Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides a camping experience and more for children and adults facing the toughest challenges of life.

Children touched by cancer, HIV/AIDS, and violence gather at our recreational facility on beautiful Keuka Lake (Finger Lakes, central NY) to spark new smiles, re-kindle friendships and enjoy a week where they can simply be kids.

The weekend camping programs for men and women with cancer become a place where old bonds are strengthened and new ones created.

It is a place where smiles are the norm and hugs mandatory, a place where visions are born and dreams discovered, a place where courage knows no boundaries.

It is Camp Good Days and Special Times.

  1. Shame on you Tommy for not mentioning Tamara as co-owner and sharing in their winning a Double Gold. We ladies may not be in the fore-front all the time but you can bet the business would not run without us, just ask Yvette!!!!!!

  2. Congratulations Tam and Jeff!! I know that you both work hard to make the best wine possible….and you did!
Also, to Tommy and Yvette on the anniversary of their “priceless rag”! (There was no comment slot for that..so I slipped that in)

  3. Congrats Jeff and Tam! Your wine is wonderful and we just stopped by last weekend to take some back to Richmond to share with our friends here.
Shame, shame on Tommy but he does love to be chased by that broom!
