The mood casual, the music perfect as The Playtime Concert to raise money for a new playground at The Rockfish Valley Community (RVCC) went off without a hitch this past weekend. Four different musical acts took the stage to help raise money for the playground that’s being built this summer on the grounds of the old Rockfish Elementary School turned community center.

The project is the brainchild of Margaret Clair, an RVCC board member, wife, and mother of three young children. The playground has been a passion for Margaret over the years. This summer the playground becomes a reality.

Jimbo & Kim Cary entertain the crowd as part of the second act. The Jan Smith Trio capped off the night with a final performance from 9:30 to 10:30 PM.

The crowd enjoyed a casual meal along with drinks from a cash bar. All proceeds went to the playground fund.
