Lovingston
Nelson County, Virginia

Talk about some beauties! They were out in all of their glory Saturday night at the Womanless Beauty Review held at Nelson County High School. The Roseland Rescue Squad held the event as its fundraiser for this year’s Relay For Life event being held May 2nd. “This is for the American Cancer Society, but this is our team fundraiser – we are Angels in Disguise – for the Nelson County Relay For Life. This is our team fundraiser to raise money. It’s really fun, it’s for a good cause,” says Robin Howell-Herring who helped coordinate the event. Her father-in-law passed away two years after battling lung and brain cancer.

“Tonight’s being dedicated to his first sergeant [Lisa]; we’re doing it for a special occasion for her. She is a cancer survivor, but it has come back. This is the very first time I have done this,” says Julie Hughes, wife of Virginia State Trooper, Donald Hughes, who also volunteers with both the Lovingston and Roseland Squads. His makeup in the picture above is what his wife had around the house, making sure it matched his eye color, of course!

Ethan Wood in the photo above, says his best attributes going into Saturday night’s competition are, well, … “My large breasts. They’re homegrown!”

“It’s all in fun. We like to have a good time. The job we have for fire & rescue sometimes gets intense but we have to have moments like these to make light of the situation to get by,” adds Wendy McCarthy of the Roseland Squad.
