NCL spoke with Bo Holland, RVCC’s center manager this morning. Carlos Ramos of Afton also works part time at the center. According to Virginia State Poiice he feel asleep at the wheel and crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic striking a car driven by William Shifflett of Afton. Bo tells us, “I went to see him at UVA –ER last night. Apparently he fell asleep on his way home from the night shift at DuPont. His van swerved and hit another car. The folks in the other car are fine. Carlos has a broken leg and either a broken or dislocated hip. They are not sure if he needs surgery, so I will have an update on that today,” she tells NCL by telephone Friday morning.

A head on collision this morning along Route 151 near Patrick Brothers Grocery in Afton tied up traffic while emergency crews worked on the injured. According to witness accounts on the scene, the injuries appeared to be serious.
Apparently one of the drivers swerved into the oncoming lane and had a head on crash.
More details as we know it.
is there any more news on this…..does anyone know who was involved and what happened?
