Members of the Nelson Ecumenical Group in Southern Nelson County got a real treat Wednesday at their regular get together. The Nelson County High School Concert Band played Christmas favorites to the crowd who met this month at Jonesboro Baptist Church in Roseland. It’s a preview of what folks can expect next week when the Concert Band plays Monday, December 15, 2008 in the high school auditorium, starting at 7:00 p.m. The Concert Chorus joins in the event that features some of the best Christmas and holiday favorites.
Covering the Ecumenical gathering is one assignment I always enjoy because they have fantastic food on hand and are more than welcome for you to sit down and get a plate!
There is no admission to the December 15th performance, but donations to help finance the marching band’s spring trip to Disney World will be gladly accepted!
