Afton – Nelson County, Virginia
Just before dark Saturday evening a light snow began falling across Nelson County, Virginia. With temperatures hovering at or below the freezing mark all day in the valley, and well below freezing on the mountains, a light accumulation began to cause some accidents across the area. Some drivers have been losing control of their cars and flipping on the slick roadways. The vast majority of the accidents have been occurring along Route U.S. 29 from the Albermarle Line south into Nelson County, Virginia.

Snow accumulations have been very, very light, but just enough to cause some accidents.
