Busy Weekend Across Nelson

The weekend across Nelson was full of things to do. Above at The Rockfish Valley Volunteer Fire Department, there was the annual Christmas Arts and Crafts show. Just in time for the holiday season!

Just down the road at The Hamner Theater in the RVCC, our favorites, Jeff Vogelgesang & Jan Smith played to a sold out crowd. Not surprised, these guys are fantastic!

Photo by Heidi Crandall : Steve Crandall, left, looks on as Jason Oliver, Brewmaster, at Devils Backbone Brewing taps some of the first beer brewed.
And on down the road, they are days from throwing the doors open at Devils Backbone Brewing Company in Beech Grove / Roseland. In the photo above some of the first beer brewed is ready. We hear they will be opening in just a few days!

Photo By Henri Weems : Gerald Boggs of Wayfarer Forge in Afton was one of several stops on this year's Artisians Studio Tour.
Henri Weems sent this pic to us. He was checking out stops on the 14th Annual Artisians Studio Tour. Gerald Boggs of Wayfarer Forge above was one of several stops in Nelson.
At Wintergreen Resort, Paul Purpura grabbed the photo above. They are getting underway with with their annual Festival of Trees. It’s always beautiful on the mountain when they start decorating for Christmas!
Whew! I am tired already. And another weekend is just five days away!

26 degrees up here by my thermometer this morning. I think winter is on the way.
I know that most of you will yell and scream at me for saying this, but for those of us who love to ski (and ride) as much as I do, bring on the cold weather!
There is nothing like skiing down a hill (in control of course!) feeling the wind on your face and carving turns in the snow. What an endorfin hit!
Best regards,
Paul
