After a long trip across the sea from Turkey into Norfolk, much of the equipment that will be used at Nelson’s first ever scotch distillery arrived by truck Thursday. “This is a major part of the pots, piping and other gear that will eventually be installed at the distillery,” says Chris. The distillery is currently under construction on Eades Lane just north of Lovingston, Virginia off of Route U.S. 29 North.
For much of 2008, Chris has been introducing folks in Nelson and parts of the Eastern U.S. to his Eades brand of scotch current made in Scotland. It will eventually be made right here in Nelson.
Chris says the new distillery will be open sometime next year. Cheers!
