The Saunders are have a picking good time at their market lately as the apple crops continue to come in. This past weekend they were playing some great music for everyone coming by the market. If you’ve never gone by there, be sure to stop in and check it out. It’s a fantastic place! And don’t forget to try the ice cream! It is yummy!
Look for mostly cloudy skies developing Tuesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing. The best chances for rain will come in the afternoon and evening hours followed by gusty northerly winds after midnight continuing for the first part of Wednesday. It will be much cooler Wednesday with sunny skies returning and afternoon highs only in the lower 70’s in the valley with low and mid 60’s in the mountains. Chances for rain develop again by Friday followed by mostly cloudy skies for the weekend with temps near 80°.
All eyes continue to watch Hurricane Ike working his way toward the Gulf of Mexico. There is concern that Ike will hit the coastal areas of the Southern U.S. by the weekend. After that, there’s great uncertainty as to where he will head.
