Thanks to Ann Strober for this weekend’s weather photo of the sun setting behind the mountains just outside of Nellysford. Ann has become quite the photo taker with her new Nikon!

Also, howdy to Ray Aston who listens every morning! Ray stopped me earlier this week and was wondering what was happening with our audio on Wednesday morning. Any of you with satellite internet know what problems it can be, we’re there! But thanks for listening every morning Ray!

And be sure to make it over to the Hamner Theater this weekend in the RVCC, for their event benefiting SK8 Nelson, that the bunch working to establish a skate park here. You can read the flier above for more info or click here for details.

Continue to remind you about the Crutchfield Electronics Recycling Truck that will be at the Rockfish Valley Community Center on Saturday September 6th from 9 AM to 3PM. That’s a week from this weekend, the same day as the monthly pancake breakfast. You see the information on the left hand side of your screen right under the cover of our magazine, just click on that Crutchfield image to get a larger version of the information. This is a really neat way to get rid of all of those old electronics including, old televisions, radios, air conditioners, to just mention a few!

Unfortunately, we don’t have any good prospects for rain this weekend. All indicators are showing Tropical Storm Fay hooking left and heading away from us in the next couple of days.

Our next, best chance for rain arrives Monday with a cold front that will eventually stall over the region keeping chances for rain in the forecast for most of the first part of next week.

For the immediate weekend ahead, look for partly to mostly sunny skies and dry conditions.
