The summer performing season is slowly winding down as Wintergreen Performing Arts held it’s 3rd Annual Mountain Music Festival this past weekend. Talk about some great music, they had acts from all over the place and many of them performed to a packed house with standing ovations. The Deer Creek Boys from Amherst seen in the photo above, were just one of the performances that had people stomping their feet and clapping their hands!

We started off the week with a hot one as temps neared or slightly crept into the lower 90’s for afternoon highs.

All eyes are on Fay and wondering where she will go. As of early Tuesday the current thinking is that high pressure will keep her from making it into Central Virginia giving us some rain, but I can tell you , nobody has a clue what this storm will really do by week’s end. We’ll have to see which way she takes off over the next day or so.

Otherwise look for partly to mostly sunny skies for the remainder of the week with afternoon temps in the moderating to the low 80’s bay the second half of the week. If Fay makes it up here, that would mean rain by Thursday or Friday.
