Hot Day At The Nelson Farmers Market

Above, Deanne Flickinger hands over some yummy treats she and husband “Flick” were selling at this Saturday’s market. I got some iced green tea in a cup with a straw that’s totally biodegradable. It looks just like plastic, but it’s not! Just toss it in the compost pile when done!
In spite of the heat and humidity, this past Saturday’s Nelson Farmers Market was packed with folks picking up produce, meats and treats!
We couldn’t help but notice that Nelson’s favorite two “Love Children” Jenny Sioux Hopkins and Deborah Justice were back at the market Saturday. The mother and daughter above got a free Nelson County Love Child t-shirt after their local art purchase of 20 dollars or more. That’s a deal! Love It!
Nelly got her head back and 3 year old, Matthew Drumheller, of Lovingston noticed!
