THROUGH MONDAY MORNING…

* EXPECT RAIN TO START ACROSS THE REGION EARLY THIS AFTERNOON FROM
SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST…AND OVERSPREAD THE ENTIRE AREA BY LATE
AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL OCCUR LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EARLY TONIGHT…ENDING FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST MONDAY MORNING.
ONE TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN WILL FALL ON TOP OF SATURATED SOILS.

* THE HEAVY RAIN MAY CAUSE STREAMS AND CREEKS TO OVERFLOW THEIR
BANKS. ALSO…URBAN AREAS PRONE TO POOR DRAINAGE WILL BE
SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING. AS THE WATER WORKS ITS WAY INTO THE
RIVERS MONDAY…RIVER FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE UPPER
POTOMAC AND SHENANDOAH BASINS.
