Apple Butter Festival
Tyro, Virginia

Apple Butter -1
Above top, one of the hundreds of pumpkins sold this past weekend at the annual Flippin-Seaman Apple Butter Festival in Tyro is weighed in. We thought since, William Layton, of Tyro holds the state record for the biggest pumpkin, it was only appropriate to get ours there this year! Say you missed the Apple Butter Festival this past weekend? Not to worry, they’ll hold it again later this month on October 20th.

The hot and humid weather continued on Monday as a large area of high pressure holds on controlling our weather. There is huge relief on the way, but not today. It will be another hot one with temperatures again in the lower 90’s across the area. By tonight we begin to see the start of a change in our weather patterns for the next several days.
