THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BLACKSBURG HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR…
NORTHEASTERN AMHERST COUNTY IN CENTRAL VIRGINIA

* UNTIL 245 PM EDT

* AT 217 PM EDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING PENNY SIZE HAIL…AND
DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR
FORKS OF BUFFALO…AND MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
FORKS OF BUFFALO…
LOWESVILLE…
CLIFFORD…
NEW GLASGOW…

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE…SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG
BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND…LARGE HAIL…VERY HEAVY RAIN…AND DEADLY
LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY
